0930: Zumba Kids Party

Dancing is incredible for kids’ mental health, improving self-confidence, self esteem, self-expression, mindfulness (presence) while improving coordination, instructional response, seretonin levels and physical fitness.

1015: Bollywood & Bellydancing with Shimmy Shama!

Dive into the vibrant world of Bollywood dancing. With its infectious rhythms, expressive movements, and joyful energy, discover its hidden power to uplift your spirits and enhance mental well-being. Led by Shama (Bollywood and Belly Dancing specialist).

10:15 – 10:45, £5.

1100: Zumba Party!

There is no better way to Get Moving for Mental Health than Zumba!  

Dancing promotes endorphins, reduces stress, improves cognitive function and of course, physical health too. 

If dancing and music are your happy place, you’re in good company. Mine too. STEP INTO HAPPY and come and join the party – 45 minutes of EXERCISE IN DISGUISE!!

Movement And Mental Health: Watford Zumba

This year the theme for Mental Health Week is GET MOVING! 

I can’t recommend a better way to do this than ZUMBA. It gets everyone moving along to the fun, catchy and energetic music. It’s known as “exercise in disguise” – you’ll be having so much fun you forget you’re even exercising!

Exercise is important for so many reasons, and so many people can struggle to get enough exercise or find the time for it. But it essential for our health and well-being that we try to make the time for it. The more fun you find it, the easier it will be to make the time for it. It becomes an addiction because of how good it makes you feel. 

Exercise releases endorphins and boosts dopamine release, which improves:

  • Memory
  • Sleep
  • Happier mood (Endorphins)
  • Self-esteem
  • Reduces anxiety and stress (Cortisol & Adrenaline reduction)
  • Motor performance
  • Reduces physical illness

Zumba, Drinks, Nibbles!

Come and celebrate Watford Zumba’s 1st anniversary with me!

There will be lots of Zumba and dancing (including Bollywood & Bellydancing!). Plus time to relax and sit with old and new friends and get to know each other better over a drink and some nibbles.

You’re welcome to bring along friends and family (12+ years) to join the fun and experience what Watford Zumba has to offer.
